Event series at the Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin from January 2009

Before the next exhibition opens at the Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin on February 7, 2009 with Simon Starling, we and our partners would like to host a series of lectures and panel discussions at the Kunsthalle.

"Best Practice, Berlin" - invited by the Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin
The aim of the new event series at the Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin, which examine the general conditions for contemporary fine art in Berlin, is to both show and harness this city's innovative and creative potential.
Starting with three initiatory panels in January, which will include representatives from politics, business, the field of art education as well as artists working in Berlin, various individual topics will be subsequently pursued in detail.

"StreitOrt" - invited by the Stiftung Zukunft Berlin
In this series, the Stiftung Zukunft Berlin will host discussions on the planned Humboldt-Forum and the current museum scene in Berlin.

Academie / co - invited by the Master's programme a42.org
Academy c/o is for a two-year period, as a satelite of the Master's programme a42.org in the capital city, an open, temporary school for meta-discourse in theory and practice put together in the format of a lecture.
In total, ten events at the Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin are in planning.

Which role do art critics play in the further development of Berlin as an excellent location for contemporary art in an international comparison? And what potential for education is there in the city?
